Free Green Waste Kerb Side Collection

Deniliquin Council will be offering residents within the garbage collection area of Deniliquin a Free Green Waste Collection.

For the purpose of the collection the town will be split into two sections.

Section 1 - The area of town that has its normal kerb side waste collection on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Section 2 - The area of town that has its normal kerb side waste collection on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Residents can deposit green waste onto the naturestrip adjacent to their property at the time nominated for their section of town and the Council will remove the waste shortly afterwards.

The following conditions apply to the collection:

• The collection will be for green waste only
• The intent of the pickup is for tree prunings and garden clippings and NOT for complete tree removal
• The maximum size of trunks shall be 150mm diameter
• The waste is to be in sizes that can be managed by hand loading
• Any waste deposited onto the naturestrip after the nominated time will not be collected and will be the responsibility of the resident to remove
• Street trees are not to be pruned as part of this pickup

 The nominiated times for this pickup are as follows:

Section 1 - Green waste can be deposited onto the naturestrip on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August 2008

Section 2 - Green waste can be deposited onto the naturestrip on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 August 2008
